The Invitational
July 18th – 20th
Come enjoy golf, comradery, food and prizes. You and a partner of your choice are invited to join us for our premier golf event, The Invitational. This is a “member-guest” type event without having to be a member anywhere!
Format of the event will be 2-person matchplay, counting the 1 low net ball. Flights and handicapping will be done via the GHIN handicap system. An active GHIN is highly preferred, but please reach out if you do not have one. A mixture of tees will be used with men 59 & under using our middle and back tees, and men 60 & over and all ladies using our front and middle tees.
Your team’s $250 registration fee provides your team 27 holes of golf, optional practice round on July 13th, and prizes.

- Optional practice rounds starting via tee time at 11:30 am
- Friday, July 19th
- 7 am: Registration and Practice
- Grill will be open to purchase breakfast sandwiches
- 7:45: Rules and Information
- 8 am: Match 1
- 10:30 am: Match 2
- 1:00 pm: Match 3
- Grilled Lunch will be provided as players make the turn
- 7 am: Registration and Practice
- Saturday, July 20th
- 9 am: Match 4
- 11 am: Match 5
- Lunch will be provided as players make the turn
- 1:30: Top teams from each flight plus wildcards will make the shootout.
- 3:30 pm: Appetizers and Prizes in the Lounge
Open to the first 24 paid teams. Email golfcourse@grinnell.edu to inquire further. Payment can be made in the Pro Shop with cash, credit or check. Checks can be mailed to 933 13th Ave, Grinnell, IA 50112. Credit Card payments may also be called in.
